Our Legacy

Founded in 1997, Universal Manufacturing began as a small shop with a big goal: to build something better through improved processes, higher-quality parts, and exceptional service. What started with a few machines and a commitment to craftsmanship has grown into a trusted name in machining and manufacturing, serving the oil and gas industry and beyond.

From a 1,500-square-foot shop to a 40,000-square-foot facility filled with advanced technology, precision machinery, and a skilled team that blends craftsmanship with innovation, Universal Manufacturing has grown alongside the industry while staying true to the hands-on values that shaped our foundation.

Built on Skill and Innovation

From day one, we embraced challenges others turned away, whether custom designs, complex tooling, or one-of-a-kind projects. When a job required a unique approach, we didn’t outsource—we designed and built the tooling ourselves. That hands-on, problem-solving mindset continues to guide every project we take on.

Over the years, our capabilities have expanded beyond oil and gas, machining for agriculture, aerospace, and specialty manufacturing. Whether it’s tractor components or precision parts for high-demand energy tools, we take the same pride in every product that leaves our shop floor.

Leadership That Sets the Standard

Behind every part we produce is a leadership team built on real-world machining experience. Our owners have spent years on the shop floor, understanding the work from the inside out.

Our Values in Action

At Universal, we live by a simple philosophy: If you can imagine it, we can machine it.

Our approach is built around core principles that define who we are and how we work:

We meet API Spec Q1 and Spec 7-2 standards, ensuring every component performs in the field as designed.

From manual to CNC, from paper to digital, our methods evolve, but our mission stays the same.

Many of our clients have been with us for decades, relying on word-of-mouth trust and results.

Our owners and team leaders are machinists at heart, always engaged, always learning, always improving.

Oil and gas is our backbone, but we proudly serve multiple industries with custom machining solutions.

Machining is Our Passion

At Universal Manufacturing, machining is who we are. Every part that leaves our shop is backed by decades of expertise, practical problem-solving, and pride in precision craftsmanship.

We never stop innovating. Each year, our team participates in advanced technology seminars to stay at the forefront of manufacturing. We continue to invest in state-of-the-art equipment and software, transitioning to a fully paperless system through ProShop ERP, with computers at every machine for real-time tracking and efficiency.

This blend of traditional skill and modern technology allows Universal Manufacturing to deliver superior quality, tight tolerances, and on-time results every time. Whether you need downhole tools, valve headers, or custom components, you can count on Universal for unmatched craftsmanship and reliability.
